Come See Pippin!

Abby Thomas '23, Odds & Ends Editor

Tony Award winning Pippin is coming to the St. Luke’s stage! Written by Roger O. Hirson and composed by Stephen Schwartz, the 1972 musical is about a boy named Pippin who longs to find adventure and meaning in his life.

Upper School Music Department Chair Dale Griffa and Middle School Humanities teacher Sarah Westerberg-Egan have been co-directing the show.  And the role of Pippin is played by the fabulous Henry Jodka ‘20.

Myles Sead ‘23 said, “[Henry’s] voice is amazing, he has a great work ethic, and when he comes to rehearsal, he is always ready to act and sing and dance and do whatever needs to get done.”

The cast has been working hard since early December to put together a fantastic show for the school. There are performances on Friday, February 28, at 7:00 pm, and Saturday, February 9, at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. You surely won’t want to miss this production, so mark your calendar.
