How long have you been at St. Luke’s, and where did you go to school before?
I’ve been at St. Luke’s since junior year. Before that, I went to Pomfret School, a boarding school in Connecticut, after growing up in Vermont.
What made you decide to transfer to St. Luke’s?
I knew I didn’t want to stay in boarding school. My parents encouraged me to apply to St. Luke’s, and even though I applied late, I got in around June. My mom said, “You’re going there,” and that was that.
How would you describe Vermont?
It’s quieter than Fairfield County, but it’s great. I love the summers, and my friends and I would go swimming or hang out in the woods.
What were your first impressions of St. Luke’s?
Honestly, I was nervous. It felt uncomfortable at first because I had never been to a private day school before. But once I got to know people, it felt welcoming.
What were your first few days like?
I didn’t really know anyone. I’d sit in the corner at lunch, and Peter would joke that it was “my corner.” Joining the football team helped me a lot; you get close with people pretty quickly when you’re running drills together.
Who helped you adjust the most?
Probably my advisor and some of the guys on the football team. They reached out and made me feel included.

What surprised you most about St. Luke’s?
How close everyone is. You pretty much know everyone in high school. It feels like a tight-knit community where people help each other out.
What’s been your favorite part of the St. Luke’s experience?
Definitely the people, especially the friends I’ve made through sports and classes. Everyone’s really supportive.
How would you describe the academics here?
Challenging but worth it. The homework is no joke, but I’m actually learning from it. Mr. Burnham is my favorite teacher. He’s awesome and always willing to help out.
What is your favorite NFL team?
The Green Bay Packers
How has senior year compared to junior year?
Senior year is definitely more stressful with college apps and harder classes, but our grade is really close, and we’re making the most of our last year together.
What’s been your biggest challenge in high school?
Adjusting to a new school environment. Coming from boarding school to day school was an adjustment, but getting involved and meeting new people helped.
How have you changed since you first arrived?
I’ve become a lot more comfortable challenging myself and putting myself out there. I was quiet at first, but I’ve opened up a lot since then.
What’s your favorite class or subject?
Probably one of my history or science classes.
Who’s had the biggest influence on you here?
Mr. Burnham. He’s helped me a lot.

What will you miss most about St. Luke’s?
The people and the sense of community. Everyone knows each other and looks out for one another.
What do you want people to remember you for?
Being a funny, likable guy who made people laugh and didn’t take things too seriously.
What are your plans after graduation?
I want to pursue something in sports business. Maybe scouting or player analytics. I love sports, but not very good at them, so working behind the scenes feels right.
What’s the best piece of advice you’d give underclassmen?
Join things. Get involved. That’s how you make friends and really feel part of the community.
How do you hope your class remembers senior year?
As a fun time.
